Please read through the application thoroughly before submitting and make sure all parts of your application are complete.
Please provide the following
• CV (1 page per artist)
• Jpeg images please upload relevant images with your application.
• All images must be labelled with artist, title of work, year, medium, dimensions and photo credit (these will be selected by Tinker to be featured for the website archive, digital and print media)
• Videos to be 10mins (max) either on a USB or via an online URL link

Tinker is a Creative hub located in the outer CBD of Toowoomba. Offering a range of workshops to adults and children on a regular program, through our exhibition program we aim to connect our creative community with arts supportive community members.
What are the gallery hire fees for 2020?
4 week exhibition $350
What does that cover?
Our fees cover the hire of the space for 3 weeks, design and printing of invitations (please see invitation specifications), assistance of hang and demount of show, printing of didactics, 2hour exhibition opening including tea/coffee and juice, featured and archived blog on Tinker website.
The exhibition space is equipped with a hanging tracks. All hang-able works need to be ready with 2x d-rings mounted upwards ready for hang.
Installation, sculptural, works on paper, projection and other media are welcome. Installation requirements for these works are the responsibility of the artist to provide.
Artists must restore the gallery space back to its original integrity.
All openings happen the first Saturday of the month, 10am.
Installation & Demount of exhibition
Installations occur the last Sunday of the month prior.
Demounts occur the last Sunday of the month of your exhibition.
These times are non-negotiable as Tinker has a full program of workshops and hire running alongside your exhibition.
What is the exhibitor responsible for?
Exhibitors are responsible for the installation and de-imount/packing of their exhibition (including sold works) and the repair of walls where needed, food on opening, setting up a paypal.me link for the sale of any artwork, distribution of 30 invitations, arranging exhibition speakers.

We have a hanging track system in place.
Tinker prints 250 DL flyers which contains quarterly openings and events at Tinker which are distributed throughout Toowoomba Region.
For the invitation you will be asked to provide the following information
1 image, exhibition title, 1 short tag line for your exhibition, your instagram handle if applicable.
These designs will be created by Tinker using their own branding.
Deadlines to be included on these flyers are as follows
FEB/MAR/APR - 1st January
MAY/JUNE/JUL - 1st March
AUG/SEP/OCT/NOV 1st June
As part of your exhibition you are able to host a public workshop or artist talk through our program.
Tinker presents workshops manage the advertising and booking of your workshop, artists are responsible for the materials. If you are interested please nominate in your application and we will discussion options, costs and concepts with you.
Artist talks may happen during your exhibition opening, after, or on a separate day/evening where the space is available.
Please note that all works must be suitable for a general audience, with a large volume of children through the space Tinker has the right to refuse hang of any works they deem inappropriate.
What is the exhibition selection process?
Applications are assessed by the Gallery Coordinator. Applications for 2020 close 30 December 2019.
How will I know if my application has been successful?
All applicants, whether successful or unsuccessful, will be notified of the result of their application via email.
